At Kanali Training, my mission goes beyond teaching basketball skills—I’m fully devoted to helping players become the best version of themselves on and off the court. Basketball is just the platform; the confidence and discipline built through the game are tools athletes can carry for the rest of their lives.
Because of that, I’m offering individual film study sessions. Film is one of the most powerful tools for improvement. There is no better teacher than seeing yourself play. Many players believe they’re doing the right things, but when they watch film with the right guidance, everything changes. I know it did for me, and for so many successful players at every level of the game.
Even with my own kids, the biggest leaps in their development came from film. Seeing themselves on screen helped them understand the game in a way nothing else could. It got to the point where they’d come out of a game and, before I could even say anything, they would tell me exactly what mistakes they made and how they could fix them. That’s why I pride myself on them being high-IQ players—and it all started with film study.
Here’s how it works:
This type of feedback is often missed in group training sessions. Coaches run systems, and blanket drills don’t always translate to what you need in your role. Film allows us to pinpoint exactly how you’re being used in games and how you can be more effective. That leads to smarter decisions, more confidence, and ultimately more playing time.
Investment: $150 per hour.
I value my time, and I believe this is well worth the money if your child is serious about basketball. If they’re just playing for fun, there are other ways to enjoy the game. But if they want basketball to create opportunities—whether that’s earning a free education or building a future in the sport—then this is one of the most impactful steps you can take.
